Homewood Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport Corporate Centre

Homewood Suites is a excellent  hotel.  Clean and with lots of extras like free parking, great breakfast, nice comfortable beds, free fast wifi, micro wave oven, flat screen TV, full fridge in a new clean suite.  We stayed in a one bedroom suite that gives you lots of extra room and two flat screen TV’s so people can watch difference shows.  We had our grandson with us so this was perfect.  There is even a dishwasher.

Check in was very fast and courteous and all the staff were friendly.

They are attached to the Hampton Inn and share the pool and coin laundry room but have separate breakfast areas.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel London Ontario

A great hotel with suites.  It’s like a small apartment with full kitchen, full fridge, nice big microwave and even a dish washer.

Two flat screen TV’s, one in the bedroom and one in the living room with separate great air conditioners.

The lobby and breakfast area is large and modern.  The breakfast is great with hot eggs, ham, along with the normal breakfast items.  Pool and even a golfer’s putting hole. Internet is fast and free.  A small safe in the living room for valuables.

The living room is a little crowded with the pull out couch bed but thats only at night.

Great suites, quiet and close to malls and the 401.

Five Stars

Ontario, St. Thomas, Comfort Inn

We stayed at this hotel while at a Jam session. It’s the only hotel in St. Thomas.

We were greeted on our arrival at the entrance by 4 or 5 maids smoking. So you had to walk through the gauntlet of smokers to get to the lobby. It went down hill from there.

The room was a smoker room and very dated (old). Virtually everything had a burn mark. The bed spread had burn holes, the carpet, the TV stand,  the bathroom sink ad even the toilet.

Needless to say the room smelled. The air condition was so nosily we had to turn it off and it was 30 degrees outside (that 86 Fahrenheit ).

To add to the heat and smells the laundry room was open to the hallway so all the heat and laundry smells drifted through the hotel.

The free breakfast was OK but the area was way too small and everyone was crowded around tying to get by each other. There was only a few tables so most people when back to their rooms to eat.

One Star

This year we will stay in London Ontario and drive to St.Thomas each day.

Dominican Republic, Puna Cana, Iberostar Dominicana

Great place for kids, lots of activities both in the pool and in the evenings.

They have a very large lobby area with covered walkways that are walk ways over waterways.

They have two large pools.

The hotel is unique with inter quads with trees, water and large turtles.  Interesting to watch during a rain shower.

Rooms are great, beach is great, food is great.

They have a ice cream booth by the beach that is cool and a smaller buffet by the beach.  It has everything that is in the main buffet so you don’t have to go back to the big buffet to eat.

Pink flamingos walking around the grounds which are link being in a park or public gardens.

Entertainment is similar to any other hotel in DR.

A nice resort with or without kids..

Five Stars

We stayed there in 2011 with our grandson.
